Visit the 20th Annual Rochester Children’s Book Festival 10-4pm @ Monroe Community College Saturday November 12, 2016
We’re getting ready to launch this year’s book festival and I’m so excited! Jane Yolen and Heidi Stemple spoke last night at the Rochester Area Children’s Writers and Illustrators (RACWI) meeting to kick off this weekend’s festivities. Both ladies were warm and encouraging while they shared how they collaborate on writing projects. Mother and daughter are so in tune…they finished each other sentences as they presented. Their main message was to keep that butt-in-chair and continue to write. Don’t give up!
I’d like to say welcome to the 49 Inspiring Authors and Illustrators who will be sharing their craft and expertise. And thank you to everyone who is helping to make Book Fest 2016 successful. Festival directors, Sibby Falk and Kathy Blasi, worked all year planning and organizing this wonderful event.
